In the village of Tselina in the Rostov Region, unknown individuals destroyed headstones and broke crosses on the graves of participants in a special military operation.

According to local authorities, vandals cut and tore flags on the graves, destroyed headstones, broke crosses, and smashed photographs of the victims, 1rnd.ru reported on May 10.

The district administration reported on its Telegram channel that law enforcement agencies are conducting operational investigative measures and called on local residents who know anything about the incident to report it to the police.

Earlier "Caucasian Knot" reported that on the night of May 1, 2026, unknown individuals, while at a cemetery in the village of Kopansky in Krasnodar, damaged 14 graves of participants in a special military operation. They smashed 13 glass frames containing photographs on tombstones, removed a photograph from one of the gravestones, and damaged a wooden cross. On May 8, a Ukrainian citizen was detained on charges of damaging military graves.
