A drone alert has been declared in the Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts.

A drone strike alert has been issued for several regions of the Southern and North Caucasus Federal Districts, including Kabardino-Balkaria and North Ossetia. Residents of Taganrog reported explosions.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on the night of May 5, ten drones were detected in the Millerovsky, Milyutinsky, Sholokhovsky, and Kasharsky districts of the Rostov Region, Governor Yuri Slyusar reported. In the Kasharsky District, a private house was damaged.

A drone alert was issued for several regions of southern Russia on the night of May 7, including several republics of the North Caucasus.

The heads of North Ossetia and Kabardino-Balkaria, among others, reported the threat of drone attacks, publishing corresponding messages on their official Telegram channels at 2:06 a.m. Moscow time and 2:07 a.m. Moscow time, respectively.

Sergey Menyailo's message noted that "mobile phone and internet service may slow down." Kazbek Kokov reported that "mobile internet service may slow down in some places."

The Telegram channel "Radar Dagestan" reported the threat of drone attacks in Dagestan at 2:07 a.m. Moscow time. Official agencies, including the republic's Ministry of Emergency Situations, have not issued any warnings.

Stavropol Governor Vladimir Vladimirov announced the threat of drone attacks in the region at 12:30 a.m. Moscow time. Even earlier, a drone threat was declared in the Southern Federal District regions of Krasnodar Krai, Rostov Oblast, and Volgograd Oblast.

Residents of Taganrog heard explosions over the city, and air raid sirens were sounded. "According to locals, at least five explosions were heard in just 15 minutes," the SHOT Telegram channel reported at 2:17 a.m. Moscow time. Rostov Oblast authorities have not yet officially announced the status of the attack.

According to the Southern Radar channel, a drone threat has been in effect in the Rostov Oblast, including Rostov-on-Don and the surrounding area, since at least 1:43 a.m. Moscow time, and in the Volgograd Oblast since 12:53 a.m. Moscow time. At 1:58 AM, the channel reported a threat to the Krasnodar Territory, including Taman, Temryuk, Slavyansk-on-Kuban, and Krymsk.

Reports of drones shot down in the Volgograd Region were already coming in on the evening of May 6. "UAVs were shot down over the Volgograd Region. The exact number is not reported," the Telegram channel V1 wrote at 10:29 PM Moscow time.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that on May 1, a UAV attack caused a fire at the Tuapse sea terminal. It was extinguished on May 2. This fire was the fourth in Tuapse since April 16. Earlier, on April 24, after booms broke due to rising water levels in the Tuapse River, an oil spill occurred into the Black Sea.
