A fighter from Dagestan was killed in Ukraine.

Gadzhi Ramazanov from the Magaramkent district was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, at least 1,909 soldiers from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed in it.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by May 1, at least 1,908 soldiers from Dagestan were officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

On April 30, a state award ceremony was held in the Magaramkent district administration. District Head Nariman Efendiev presented the Order of Courage (posthumously) to the parents of slain SVO participant Gadzhi Ramazanov, the district administration reported on its Telegram channel.

Ramazanov, a native of the village of Magaramkent, was killed in the SVO zone a year ago. No other details about the fighter's biography or his death were provided in the statement.

At least 4,460 soldiers from the North Caucasus Federal District and 4,590 from the Southern Federal District have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

Thus, at least 1,909 combatants from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed in Ukraine. The Caucasian Knot is maintaining a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus Federal District and the Southern Federal District killed in the military operation. The death of a serviceman from the Magaramkent District in the North Caucasus Federal District was previously reported on March 11. Then the authorities announced that Gennady Mysin had been killed in a military operation. State awards, memorial plaques, and appearances on Channel One do not guarantee state support for the families of those killed, according to the Caucasian Knot article "Three Comrades Served: How the Authorities Are Depriving the Families of Killed Volunteers of Benefits," which describes the stories of the slain soldiers. In particular, the widow of one of the slain soldiers said that without a body, the battalion did not make payments in connection with the death of the serviceman. Caucasian Knot also reported that 18-year-old Said Murtazaliev from Dagestan was tortured by security forces in the Moscow region to sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense. In the combat zone, commanders forced him to collect money, after which the young man was declared missing. "I myself was sent to the assault, where Comrade 'Spartak' said he had received an order to erase me," Murtazaliev said in his last video message sent to his mother.
