A Kuban resident was convicted of calling for a nuclear strike on Russia.

The Southern District Military Court sentenced Yegor Prasov, a resident of Kuban, to three years in prison for calling for a nuclear strike against Russia.

According to the court, Prasov posted a comment in an open channel in October 2023 calling for a nuclear strike against Russian territory. The investigation was conducted by the FSB Directorate for Krasnodar Krai.

The Southern District Military Court found Yegor Prasov guilty of publicly calling for terrorist activity using the internet. 1 The court, taking into account the opinion of the state prosecutor, sentenced him to three years' imprisonment in a general regime penal colony, RIA Novosti reported, citing the court's press service.

The defendant was also banned from engaging in activities related to the administration of websites and web pages for two years. It was noted that the defendant's mobile phone was confiscated for state use.

According to the case file on the court's website, the materials were received on March 11, and the verdict was handed down on April 30 by Judge Saprunov. The report did not specify the reason for the lenient sentence.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that a Yeysk native received a prison sentence for messages in Ukrainian. Security officials saw these messages as calls for violent actions "against government officials."
