Two soldiers from Dagestan were killed in Ukraine.

Kurban Magomedov and Oleg Shchepetkov from the Tarumovsky district were killed in the fighting. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, at least 1,908 soldiers from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed in it.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by April 28, at least 1,906 soldiers from Dagestan had been officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

The head of the Tarumovsky District, Vasily Dzhamalov, presented the Order of Courage to the parents of soldiers killed during the special military operation, the district administration reported on its VKontakte page.

The district head presented the awards to Rakhmat Aytimirova, the mother of Kurban Magomedov, and Pyotr Shchepetkov, the father of Oleg Shchepetkov. Magomedov served as a private, and Shchepetkov was a junior sergeant. The report does not provide details on the biographies and deaths of the soldiers.

At least 4,460 fighters from the North Caucasus Federal District and 4,590 from the Southern Federal District have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

The Caucasian Knot maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus Federal District and the Southern Federal District killed in the military operation. The death of a fighter from the Tarumovsky District in the North Caucasus Federal District was also reported on March 18. Then the authorities announced that Muzhaid Mamayev had been killed in the military operation.
