The updated list of areas under a state of emergency due to flooding includes 759 streets in Makhachkala.

The Makhachkala administration has decided to expand the boundaries of the territory where the state of emergency is in effect, the mayor's office reported on its Telegram channel on the evening of April 28.

This is necessary for further work to protect the rights of residents, organize necessary events, and provide support to citizens whose territories are affected by the situation. The "Patient Monitor and Housing and Utilities" project has named 16 areas in Makhachkala whose residents have already contacted them regarding payment denials following the flooding. Social media users believe the denials are massive.

Floods caused by torrential rains occurred in the North Caucasus in late March and early April and were among the most devastating in recent years. Six people died as a result of the flooding in Dagestan.
