Bloggers urged sifting sand before filling Anapa's beaches.

Authorities should monitor the quality of the sand being poured onto Anapa's beaches and at least sift it beforehand, bloggers have urged.

As "Caucasian Knot" reported, Anapa authorities plan to deliver new sand to the resort's beaches in four stages, with a total of 90 days allocated for the work. The work on filling the beaches with new sand must be completed by the start of the beach season, the Russian Deputy Prime Minister stated earlier. Authorities in Krasnodar Krai reported the start of filling the first section of Anapa's beaches with a 50-centimeter layer of sand in preparation for the resort season. Second-class sand is being used to fill Anapa's beaches, a representative of the supplier company reported. This sand cannot serve as a full-fledged replacement for what was previously removed from the beaches, according to social media users.

Blogger Yuri Ozarovsky today published a call for the Anapa administration to sift sand before pouring it onto Anapa's beaches.

"Let's all together draw the attention of the city's mayor, Svetlana Borisovna Maslova, to the sand situation. Sand is being delivered actively now, but many questions arise about its quality. We understand that the beaches will most likely not be fully prepared by June 1st. So, maybe we should focus on quality? It's important that the sand is cleaned and sifted. So that it reaches the beaches as clean as possible," he addressed users in his Telegram channel.
