Protests in central Tbilisi continue for the 508th day in a row.

Demonstrators gathered outside the Georgian Parliament for the 508th time, demanding a change in political course and the release of political prisoners.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on April 18, the 507th day of daily protests, participants in the weekly march demanded that the Georgian authorities import modern medications for the treatment of children with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

Today, on the 508th day of daily protests, activists gathered outside the Georgian Parliament, demanding the release of political prisoners and opposing the policies of the ruling Georgian Dream party.

According to photos published on the Facebook page* of Publika, activists brought flags of Georgia, the United States, and the European Union to the Parliament.

Participants in protests in Georgia since November 28, 2024, have been demanding new parliamentary elections and the release of political prisoners. Security forces violently dispersed the protests, using tear gas and water cannons, and detained protesters. Thousands of people were subjected to administrative prosecution during the protests.
