Three wounded people required medical attention as a result of a nighttime airstrike in Taganrog. Several facilities in the city sustained minor damage, officials said.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on the night of April 18, military destroyed drones in Taganrog, Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, and five districts of the Rostov Region, Governor Yuri Slyusar reported. According to him, there were no injuries.

According to him, a missile strike hit the city. "During the missile strike on Taganrog, commercial infrastructure was damaged. A fire broke out in warehouses. Emergency services are working at the scene," the publication stated.

A UAV was also destroyed in the Neklinovsky District. "There have been no reports of casualties or damage on the ground in this area," the governor said.

As a result of the overnight airstrike, "several objects sustained minor damage," Taganrog Mayor Svetlana Kambulova reported on her Telegram channel.

"In the area of ​​the Beriev plant, tram and bus traffic along Instrumentalnaya Street will temporarily operate according to a modified schedule," she added.

As a reminder, on the night of April 4, one person died and four were injured in an airstrike in Taganrog. On March 29, a drone attack in Taganrog also killed one person, and eight others required medical attention. The attack damaged 12 apartment buildings and 27 private homes.

On January 13, a woman was killed in an attack in Taganrog . Eight residential buildings, two industrial facilities, and six cars were also damaged. Authorities promised assistance to all victims.

Car damage has repeatedly featured in reports on the consequences of drone attacks in the Rostov Region, but compensation for it was not provided until December 2025. Only after a Taganrog resident who lost his car asked about payments during a direct line with the governor did authorities establish a compensation procedure for car owners. The resolution provides for compensation of up to 500,000 rubles per damaged vehicle and up to a million rubles per destroyed vehicle.

Residents of a building in central Taganrog damaged by a rocket fall in the summer of 2023 received 10,000 rubles each and had their broken windows replaced, even though the apartments required extensive repairs. Lawyers interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" indicated that the victims have the right to seek compensation through the courts.
