Sapa editor-in-chief Alina Dzhikaeva has been arrested for two months.

A Moscow court has remanded Sapa Media editor-in-chief Alina Dzhikayeva, accused of bribery, to pretrial detention.

"Caucasian Knot" wrote that searches were conducted at the Sapa Telegram channel's Vladikavkaz office starting in the morning of April 14. The employees were released only that evening. The Investigative Committee stated that the project's editor-in-chief, Alina Dzhikayeva, and a police officer from Makhachkala have been detained on charges of bribery and bribery, respectively. The police officer is also suspected of abuse of power: according to investigators, he paid Dzhikayeva for information about incidents in Dagestan and North Ossetia, including the personal information of those involved.

The Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow has chosen a preventive measure for Sapa's editor-in-chief, Alina Dzhikayeva. She has been remanded in custody for two months, until June 12, on charges of bribery, the United Press Service of Moscow Courts reported.

The investigation insisted on Dzhikayeva's arrest, while the defense requested house arrest. "Alina has two young children. They plan to appeal the court's decision," reported the Telegram channel "Sapa 15."

Charges were filed against Dzhikaeva and Shamsutdinov today. Alina Dzhikayeva pleaded not guilty to bribery of a police officer, while the security officer pleaded guilty to abuse of power and bribery. The case against Dzhikayeva is connected to a similar case against employees of the Telegram channel Baza, opened last summer, the state news agency TASS reported on April 15. Caucasian Knot reported that in the summer of 2025, Gleb Trifonov, editor-in-chief of the Telegram channel Baza, and several police officers from various regions of Russia, including the Krasnodar Territory, were arrested on the same charges. The investigation stated that Trifonov purchased operational information from security officials, but he himself denied the accusations of bribery by a group of people.
