A school and dozens of homes were damaged by landslides in the Kulinsky district.

Seven cultural institutions were partially damaged in the Kulinsky district of Dagestan after a snowfall, and three livestock farms remain without transport links.

As reported by "Kavkazsky Knot", on April 8, a Russian Emergencies Ministry helicopter evacuated four people, including three children, from a farm on the Churchalo farm, near the village of Khosrekh in the Kulinsky district of Dagestan, the road to which was covered in snow. One teenager had a broken leg.

In the Kulinsky district, melting snow has intensified landslide processes, causing the roof of one school to collapse and load-bearing walls to be partially destroyed, and seven cultural institutions and several dozen residential buildings to be partially damaged, the press service reported. The Dagestan government posted a statement on its Telegram channel.

At the same time, it is noted that healthcare and educational institutions in the Kulinsky District are functioning normally. Educational activities in the village of Kuli have not been suspended; classes have been organized in another school building. Power and communications have been restored to all settlements in the district. Transportation links with all 14 settlements in the district have also been restored.

The Kumukh-Vikhli-Vachi national highway was closed as a result of a landslide. Currently, this section of the road is single-lane. Three livestock farms remain without transportation links.

Humanitarian aid has been delivered to local residents. Specialized equipment has been dispatched to the municipality. Road clearing and disaster relief efforts are ongoing, according to a press release from the press service.

On April 8, subscribers to the chernovik.net Telegram channel reported that heavy snowfall occurred in the Kulinsky District. At that time, power had been out for a week in all other settlements in the district, except for the district center and two nearby villages.

According to residents, farmers suffered irreparable damage, as many livestock perished.

In the Kulinsky District, specialists from the Kumukh Power Distribution Zone are carrying out restoration work at power facilities. Due to deep snowdrifts and persistent snowfall, emergency equipment is unable to access the damaged areas, the Dagenergo press service later reported.
