A court in Krasnodar has confiscated Andrei Korobka's assets.

The property of Kuban Vice-Governor Andrei Korobka, his relatives, and associates, totaling over 10 billion rubles, has been seized by the state. The court also dismissed the arrested official from his post.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot," on April 7, a court in Krasnodar arrested Deputy Governor of Kuban Andrei Korobka for two months, accused of fraud. During a search of his home, security forces seized nearly 1 billion rubles in cash in various currencies, and the official's total assets are estimated at 10 billion.

On the evening of April 7, the Leninsky District Court of Krasnodar upheld the Prosecutor General's Office's claim to confiscate and forfeit the assets of Andrei Korobka and his trusted individuals. More than 20 people were defendants in the lawsuit: the official himself, his relatives, and other close associates, including his personal bodyguard.

"Andrei Korobka is accused of illegal leasing, asset concealment, land withdrawal from agricultural use, misappropriation of funds, and personal use of land," the United Press Service of the Kuban Courts reported.

The confiscated assets, with a total value exceeding 10 billion rubles, include 135 land plots totaling 1,800 hectares, 114 residential and non-residential premises (over 130,000 square meters), 12 commercial companies, and lease rights to 12,500 hectares of fertile land.

"All of the defendants' funds, including cash (...) shares in authorized capital, stocks, other securities, digital financial assets, digital currency, jewelry, other luxury items, and other valuables, have been converted into state revenue," the court's press service noted.

Furthermore, the court dismissed Korobka from his post as Deputy Governor of Krasnodar Krai due to loss of confidence. The court also prematurely terminated the powers of Dinsky District Council deputies Yuri Ilchenko and Yaroslav Pelikhov, and Grigory Korobka, a relative of the arrested official, was prematurely stripped of his mandate as a deputy of the Pervorechensky Village Council (also in Dinsky District).

Andrei Korobka held the post of Vice Governor since April 2015; for the past 11 years, he oversaw the agro-industrial complex in the Kuban government. For the first six months, until October 2015, he was simultaneously the Minister of Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Krasnodar Territory.
