Ramzan Kadyrov's collection has been expanded with an award for the development of science.

The medal "For Contribution to the Development of Science" was presented to Ramzan Kadyrov by Dzhambulat Umarov, President of the Chechen Academy of Sciences.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," in December 2025, the Director of the Russian National Guard, Viktor Zolotov, who visited Chechnya, awarded Ramzan Kadyrov the medal "For Military Distinction" 1 . The third son of the head of Chechnya, Adam Kadyrov, received this award before his father, back in March 2025.

On April 6, Ramzan Kadyrov showed off a new award he received following a meeting with the President of the Chechen Academy of Sciences, Dzhambulat Umarov. He himself wrote about the latest medal in his collection on his Telegram channel.

Reporting on his work in office, Umarov briefed the head of the republic on the results of research on historical figures associated with Chechnya and the Chechen language. Specifically, he reported that, following a major linguistic study, scientists had declared the Chechen language to be the oldest in the Caucasus.

Umarov presented Kadyrov with the medal "For Contribution to the Development of Science" at the end of the meeting, according to the publication. The decision to award the medal was made by the Presidium of the Chechen Academy of Sciences. "I am grateful to them for such a valuable award," Kadyrov remarked.

Ramzan Kadyrov has held the title of Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (RANS) since 2006. In 2016, Kadyrov stated that he became an academician "for his successes in restoring peace and stability," and characterized talk about his lack of scientific work as "cynical."

“I refused to accept the badge and diploma for several months. But close friends persuaded me, citing the fact that it would be unethical to refuse,” RBC quotes Kadyrov as saying.

In 2011, Kadyrov was awarded the Chechen regional medal “For the Protection of Human Rights,” and in 2023, he received the title of “Honored Human Rights Defender of the Chechen Republic.” In August 2025, journalists counted that Ramzan Kadyrov had received more than 30 awards since the start of the Russian operation in Ukraine in 2022. His son Adam ranks second in the number of awards, and his daughter Aishat ranks third. Among the awards Ramzan Kadyrov received during this period are the Order of Merit for Dentistry (2022), the Medal of Excellence in Emergency Care (2024), and the gold and silver medals "For Merit in Improving the Safety of Nuclear Power Plants" (2025).
