The number of fighters from southern Russia killed in the SVO has exceeded 8,900.

At least 4,384 fighters from the North Caucasus Federal District and 4,519 from the Southern Federal District have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by March 11, more than 8,850 combatants from southern Russia (at least 4,355 from the North Caucasus Federal District and 4,496 from the Southern Federal District) have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

According to the "Caucasian Knot," by March 21, government and security officials had officially recognized at least 8,903 fighters from southern Russia as killed in the military operation: 4,384 from the North Caucasus Federal District and 4,519 from the Southern Federal District.

Dagestan continues to bear the brunt of the death toll, with 1,869.
