Fire at an electrical substation in Kuban extinguished after a drone attack

An electrical substation caught fire in the village of Starotitarovskaya in the Temryuk District after drone debris fell. Authorities reported the fire had been extinguished and there were no casualties.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," one person was killed in a drone attack in Krasnodar on the night of March 17-18. A medical center, a restaurant, several residential buildings, and cars were damaged. Partial power was lost in the Yubileyny microdistrict due to a downed power line. In Krasnodar, 11 apartments were damaged as a result of a drone attack. Windows and balcony glazing were partially blown out, and roofs and facades of buildings were damaged.

In the village of Starotitarovskaya in the Temryuk District, a fire broke out overnight at an electrical substation due to falling UAV debris. There were no injuries. The fire was quickly contained and extinguished by 8:50 a.m. Moscow time.
Forty people and 13 pieces of equipment, including from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory, participated in the firefighting effort, the Krasnodar Territory task force reported today.

The Temryuk District Administration had not commented on the incident on its Telegram channel by 11:47 a.m.

Over the past night, air defense systems on duty intercepted and destroyed 26 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles, including 14 over the Krasnodar Territory, six over the Black Sea, and one over the Rostov Region, the Ministry of Defense reported today on its Telegram channel.

Rostov Region Governor Yuri Slyusar reported this morning that the UAVs were destroyed in the Sholokhovsky District. "There were no reports of casualties or damage on the ground," he reported on his Telegram channel.
