Pro-European protests in Tbilisi continued for the 477th day in a row.

Supporters of Georgia's European integration gathered for a protest outside the parliament building for the 477th consecutive evening. Protesters reiterated their refusal to recognize the Georgian Dream as the legitimate government.

As "Caucasian Knot" reported, on March 19, the 476th day of continuous protests, opposition members cancelled planned weekend marches in Tbilisi and Kutaisi in connection with the death of Patriarch Ilia II.

Activists carrying Georgian and EU flags gathered today on the pedestrian section of Rustaveli Avenue outside the parliament building for the 477th consecutive evening, Publika reports.

Protesters came to the rally with slogans such as "We do not recognize," "We are partisans, political prisoners!", "No to Russian law," "Violence against women must stop," and "Freedom for Zviad Tsetskhladze," according to posts by photographer Mo Se and Georgian media outlets on Facebook*.

The leader of the Dafioni student movement, Zviad Tsetskhladze, has been in prison since December 2024. In September, he was sentenced to two and a half years in prison for participating in pro-European protests.

While in prison, Tsetskhladze began publishing the newspaper "Camera 101," dedicated to socio-political news in Georgia. On October 25, 2025, he announced a hunger strike in protest against his father's administrative arrest for "artificially blocking a road." Zviad Davitadze's mother, Nargiz Davitadze, called for a pardon for female political prisoners in January.

Protesters in Georgia have been demanding new parliamentary elections and the release of political prisoners since November 28, 2024. Security forces violently dispersed the protests, using tear gas and water cannons, and detained protesters. Thousands of people were subjected to administrative prosecution during the protests.
