The court has arrested the head of the Krasnodar Krai Ministry of Health, Filippov.

The Oktyabrsky District Court of Krasnodar ordered the detention of Kuban Health Minister Yevgeny Filippov for two months.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on March 17, Yevgeny Filippov, Health Minister of Krasnodar Krai, was arrested in connection with a fraud case. His home and office were searched. Law enforcement officials focused on Filippov, who has headed the Kuban Ministry of Health since 2013, due to his family's financial situation – numerous properties are registered to the official and his relatives.

According to investigators, Filippov, while serving as the head of the Krasnodar Krai Ministry of Health from November 2015 to December 2025, embezzled over 7 million rubles from the Russian Ministry of Health's budget through fictitious employment as head of a department at the Kuban State Medical University. The official used these funds at his own discretion, the press service of the Krasnodar Krai courts reported today on Telegram.
