A soldier from the Krasnodar region was killed in a military operation.

Sergey Oleynikov was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the military operation in Ukraine, at least 834 soldiers from the Krasnodar Territory have been officially recognized as killed.

As "Caucasian Knot" reported, by March 1, at least 833 soldiers from Kuban were officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

Sergey Oleynikov from the village of Novokorsunskaya was killed in November 2025 in the military operation in Ukraine, the Timashevsky District administration reported today on its Telegram channel, reporting on the presentation of a medal to the soldier's mother.

Thus, at least 834 soldiers from Kuban have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation.

More than 8,850 combatants from southern Russia have been officially recognized as killed in the North Caucasus Military District.

At least 4,355 fighters from the North Caucasus Federal District and 4,496 from the Southern Federal District have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

The "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus Federal District and the Southern Federal District killed in the military operation. The list was compiled based on data officially released by government officials and law enforcement agencies, according to the Caucasian Knot report "Northern Military District Statistics: Losses Are Mounting for Southern Russia."

State awards, memorial plaques, and appearances on Channel One do not guarantee state support for the families of those killed, according to the Caucasian Knot report "Three Comrades Served: How the Authorities Are Depriving the Families of Killed Volunteers of Benefits," which describes the stories of soldiers, including those from Kuban. "Staff from the St. Petersburg administration and the military registration and enlistment office asked me themselves if my son's body had been found. In January 2023, I told them in response to another call that the body had been found and that I was going to pick it up," says the mother of one of the soldiers.
