A fighter from Dagestan was killed in Ukraine.

Gennady Mysin from the Magaramkent region was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, at least 1,856 soldiers from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed there.

At least 4,355 servicemen from the North Caucasus Federal District and 4,496 from the Southern Federal District were killed in fighting in Ukraine, according to official reports from administrations and security agencies.

On March 11, a ceremony to present a posthumous award was held at the Magaramkent District Administration. District Head Nariman Efendiev presented the Order of Courage to the family of Gennady Mysin, a participant in the special military operation, the district administration reported on its Telegram channel.

Details of the soldier's biography and death were not provided in the statement.
