The head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov, announced today on his Telegram channel that the medal "For Displayed Courage" had been handed over to the family of Arsen Sultanbekov, who was killed in the military operation.

Arsen Sultanbekov served in the military police of the 6th Army of the Leningrad Military District since 2022. In December 2025, he was appointed a UAV platoon commander in the same unit. He was killed in late February while carrying out combat missions in the Kharkov direction.

Thus, at least 1,855 soldiers from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation.
