A combatant from North Ossetia was killed in a military operation.

Soslan Mamitov from the Ardon district was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, at least 563 North Ossetian soldiers have been officially recognized as killed.

As "Caucasian Knot" reported, by March 5, authorities officially acknowledged that at least 562 servicemen from North Ossetia had been killed in Ukraine.

At least 4,326 servicemen from the North Caucasus Federal District and 4,478 from the Southern Federal District have been killed in fighting in Ukraine, according to official reports from administrations and security agencies.

The Ardon District administration has named the next North Ossetian serviceman killed in Ukraine. The deceased is Soslan Mamitov, a resident of the village of Kirovo. He was buried today, according to a post on the municipality's official Telegram channel. However, details of his biography and date of death have not been released.

The last death of a native of the Ardon district was reported on February 23, when the names of 12 combatants were announced.

Thus, at least 563 fighters from North Ossetia have been officially recognized as killed in Ukraine. The "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation.
