Askhabali Alibekov has been released from a prison colony in Adygea.

A native of Dagestan, Askhabali Alibekov, known in the blogosphere as the "Wild Paratrooper," was released from a prison colony in Adygea after serving time for assaulting a police officer.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot," the Teuchezh District Court of Adygea on February 18 granted the prosecutor's office's request to place blogger Askhabali Alibekov under administrative supervision. The supervision measures include mandatory residency, a requirement to remain at home after 10:00 PM, and a ban on visiting public places.

Askhabali Alibekov left Penal Colony No. 1 in the village of Tlyustenkhabl today, according to a video published by the YouTube channel "Freedom of Speech."

Several of his associates greeted the blogger and presented him with flowers. In the video, Alibekov says he hasn't changed his views and wants to continue the fight "for the freedom of all Russian people."

"The Wild Paratrooper fights for freedom of speech, for people not to die in unnecessary wars, for the retirement age not to be raised, for decent wages," he stated in the video.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that in May 2022, Askhabali Alibekov was found guilty of discrediting the military. Another report against Alibekov under this article was filed with the court on June 8, 2022. The court again found him guilty of discrediting the army and fined him 50,000 rubles.

In March 2023, Alibekov was sentenced to one year and two months in prison. The court ruled that the video, which a Dagestani native posted on his YouTube channel "Wild Paratrooper," discredited the army. On November 10, 2023, it was announced that Alibekov had been released. He had complained about conditions in the penal colony.
