The fire in the village of Volna has been extinguished

A fire in the Temryuk district that started after a drone struck an oil tank has been extinguished.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on February 15, two fires totaling 2,200 square meters broke out in the village of Volna in the Temryuk district after an aerial attack. One of them was extinguished that same evening.

The fire in the village of Volna has been completely extinguished, the Kuban emergency response headquarters reported today on its Telegram channel.

"The open fire in the second source was extinguished on February 16 at 00:35 [Moscow time], and by 6:00 the fire was completely extinguished," the publication stated.

Lawyers point out constitutionality of ban on filming drone attacks

In September 2025, the Krasnodar Krai introduced a ban on disseminating information about drone attacks and their consequences, as well as on filming air defense operations, military installations, and critical infrastructure. In December 2025, Kuban authorities introduced fines for filming aerial attacks and air defense operations. The corresponding regional legislative assembly bill was published on the "Caucasian Knot."

Remember, residents of the villages of Afipsky and Ilsky in the Seversky District of Kuban, where oil refineries are located, regularly suffer from drone attacks. Thus, on December 14, 2025, authorities reported that during a drone attack, "UAV debris" damaged five private homes in the village of Afip. On December 1, a drone attack damaged 19 homes and a cell phone tower in the village of Ilsky.

The oil refineries themselves have also been repeatedly attacked by drones. Specifically, on November 29, 2025, an aerial attack caused a fire at the refinery in Afipsky, evacuating workers. The fire was extinguished the same day.

On September 7, 2025, equipment at the Ilsky oil refinery caught fire as a result of an attack. Authorities reported on the prompt extinguishing of the fire.
