Two soldiers from Dagestan were killed in Ukraine.

Ibragim Zakharov and Magomed Ibragimov from the Kizilyurt district were killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, authorities have officially acknowledged at least 1,807 combatants from Dagestan killed there.

As "Caucasian Knot" reported, by February 8, officials and security forces had named at least 1,805 servicemen killed in Ukraine Dagestan.

The names of two more Dagestan servicemen killed in Ukraine were revealed on February 12 in a report from the Kizilyurt District Administration on the transfer of posthumous awards to their parents.

Magomed Ibragimov from the village of Nechayevka was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage, and Ibragim Zakharov from the village of Sultanyangiyurt was awarded the Order of Suvorov, according to a statement on the municipality's official Telegram channel. The ages and biographical details of the killed officials were not provided in the publication.

Thus, at least 1,807 Dagestan servicemen have been officially recognized as killed on the Ukrainian front. "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation. The list was compiled based on data officially released by government officials and law enforcement agencies, according to a "Caucasian Knot" report, "NVO Statistics: Losses Are Growing in Southern Russia."

In the summer of 2025, the Kizilyurt District administration reported the posthumous awarding of five fellow countrymen killed in Ukraine: Magomed Umakhanov, Shamil Magomedaliev, Artur Omarov, Gadzhi Makhdiev, and Magomed Nabiyev.

State awards, memorial plaques, and appearances on Channel One do not guarantee state support for the families of those killed, according to the "Caucasian Knot" article "Three Comrades Served: How the Authorities Are Depriving the Families of Killed Volunteers of Benefits," which describes the stories of soldiers from other regions. For example, the mother of the murdered Dmitry Ukhanov said she searched for her son's body for four months, and administration and military registration and enlistment office staff asked her to keep them informed of the search progress, offering no assistance.
