Residents of Kaspiysk have been waiting for water for more than two days after authorities promised.

In Kaspiysk, equipment is being adjusted; water supply to Bat'manova Street will be fully restored by January 13, authorities announced. Residents are outraged that the authorities are failing to fulfill their promises; water delivery is not meeting the needs of city residents, and the water supply schedule is not being met.

According to residents, there has been no water in their homes for about a week, and numerous appeals to Gorvodokanal and the city administration have remained unanswered. Residents are also outraged that the mayor's office is not informing them of the progress of repairs. The prosecutor's office promised to provide a legal assessment of the situation. Work on the water main supplying Kaspiysk has been completed, and water will be restored overnight, the city administration announced on the evening of January 9. Residents were outraged by officials' explanation that increased water consumption led to the breakdown. On January 10, Kaspiysk authorities reported delays in water supply to residents due to reservoirs filling. Commentators added that there has been no water for several days, and it appears only briefly, indicating that water delivery remains unavailable.

Officials reported that system debugging is ongoing.

The Kaspiysk administration reported on the afternoon of January 11 that work to restore the water supply is ongoing. Mayor Boris Gontsov inspected the progress of balancing the reservoir water supply system in the district, the city administration reported. "While balancing work continues, water supply will be hourly. Water supply will be fully restored soon. Drinking water supply has been organized for the duration of the work. Eight Vodokanal vehicles are deployed throughout the city, delivering water upon request," the administration stated on its Telegram channel.

The Dagestan Ministry of Construction reported on a meeting with residents of Bat'manova Street, where there is no water. The head of the department went to the meeting after residents' appeals to the Regional Control Center "were conveyed to Makhach Omarov, the head of the administration of the head and government of the Republic of Dagestan."

"Water is being delivered every day. Residents confirm this, and reservoirs are being filled. The situation is under constant monitoring by the Dagestan Central Control Center," the department reported, promising to inform about further progress on the issue.

The Regional Control Center reported that the Khazar pumping station is operating normally.

"According to the resource supply organization, the full restoration of a stable water supply is planned for January 13. Until then, temporary outages are possible, necessary for the gradual filling of reservoirs and stabilization of the system," according to a statement published on the evening of January 11.

Lack of water angers Caspian residents
