Three UAVs were shot down over the Seversky District of Kuban, their wreckage fell near the village of Smolenskaya.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot", on the night of January 9-10, the military shot down 10 UAVs in Krasnodar Krai and four in Adygea.

On the evening of January 10, air defense systems destroyed three drones over the Seversky District of Krasnodar Krai, the Kuban Operational Headquarters reported in its Telegram channel.

According to the Operational Headquarters, the drones crashed in a field near the village of Smolenskaya; there were no injuries or damage.

The head of the Seversky District, Alexey Cheverev, also reported the discovery of UAV debris. In the comments to his post, residents of the district wondered why there was no siren warning citizens in the event of a UAV attack or missile threat. User Anna complained that SMS alerts arrive late and are rarely read. In response, the Telegram channel administrator referenced a post from November 29, 2025, which stated that in the event of a drone or missile threat, the location and time of the incident are unknown in advance. "Given the near-daily nature of such reports, activating sirens throughout the Krasnodar Krai will only worsen the situation," the statement reads.

The statement also notes that a special "EMERCOM of Russia" app has been created to alert the public, reporting all types of danger. It also clarifies that when reports of danger are received at the Afipsky and Ilsky refineries, local sirens are activated and personnel are evacuated. "This is due to the fact that military installations and fuel and energy facilities are primarily vulnerable to drone attacks," the statement concludes.

Telegram channel users also noted that sirens can negatively impact the nervous system of citizens.

Remember, residents of the Afipsky and Ilsky villages in the Seversky District of Kuban, where the oil refineries are located, regularly suffer from drone attacks. Thus, on December 14, 2025, Kuban authorities reported that during a drone attack, "UAV debris" damaged five private homes in the village of Afipsky.

Oil refineries themselves have also been repeatedly attacked by drones. For example, on November 29, 2025, an aerial attack caused a fire at a refinery in the village of Afipsky, and workers were evacuated. The fire was extinguished the same day.

On September 7, 2025, equipment at the Ilsky Oil Refinery caught fire as a result of an attack. Authorities reported on the prompt extinguishing of the fire.
