Nineteen drones were shot down in three regions of the Southern Federal District.

Last night, the military shot down 11 drones in the Krasnodar Territory, six in the Rostov Region, and two in the Volgograd Region. Another 25 drones were shot down over the Azov and Black Seas.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on the evening of January 7, a drone attack damaged two private homes in the Kalachevsky District of the Volgograd Region. According to the Ministry of Defense, between 8:00 PM and 11:00 PM Moscow time on January 7, one drone was shot down in the Volgograd Region, and another was destroyed over the Black Sea.

From 11:00 PM Moscow time on January 7 to 7:00 AM Moscow time, air defense systems on duty intercepted and destroyed 66 Ukrainian drones, including 11 in the Krasnodar Krai, six in the Rostov Oblast, and two in the Volgograd Oblast, the Ministry of Defense reported on its Telegram channel.

According to the publication, another 13 drones were shot down over the Sea of Azov and 12 over the Black Sea. The remaining drones were destroyed in the Oryol, Kursk, and Bryansk Oblasts and in Crimea.

As of 7:55 AM Moscow time, the Volgograd Oblast administration and the Rostov Oblast governor had not reported any drone attacks during the night on their Telegram channels. The Kuban operational headquarters reposted the Defense Ministry's publication without providing any additional information.

As a reminder, the Volgograd airport suspended operations on the evening of January 7 due to flight safety concerns. The restrictions were lifted today. Three aircraft have been sent to alternate airfields.
