Eight fighters from Kabardino-Balkaria were killed in a military operation.

Aslan Tengizov, Amur Mashitlov, Ratmir Apshev, and five other fighters from the Baksan district were killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, authorities have publicly acknowledged at least 358 soldiers from Kabardino-Balkaria killed there.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot," by December 23, authorities and security forces officially acknowledged at least 350 soldiers from Kabardino-Balkaria killed in Ukraine.

The district administration announced the presentation of awards to the families of soldiers from the Baksan District who died in the military operation on its Telegram channel.

"By decrees of the President of the Russian Federation, the following were posthumously awarded: Aslan Akhedovich Tengizov and Amur Khasanovich Mashitlov. Ratmir Muayedovich Apshev, Murat Ruslanovich Malukhov, and Rustam Vladimirovich Dugulubgov were awarded Zhukov Medals. Aslan Ruslanovich Karatsukov and Azamat Zaurovich Kochesokov were awarded Medals "For Courage." Eduard Zeinalbidinovich Zhilyasov was awarded the Suvorov Medal," the administration said in a statement.

Thus, at least 358 soldiers from Kabardino-Balkaria have been officially recognized as killed on the Ukrainian front. The "Caucasian Knot" knows the names of 345 of them, and the deaths of another 13 were revealed in a report by the republic's authorities on payments to the families of those killed in 2022.

The "Caucasian Knot" is maintaining a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation.
