A defendant in the case of Krymsk Mayor Yanis Budagov has been arrested.

A court has arrested Krymsk resident Alexander Lukyanov, who, according to investigators, is the buyer of the land plot, for the sale of which Yanis Budagov has been accused of abuse of office.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot," the detained mayor of Krymsk, Yanis Budagov, has been charged with abuse of office in transferring ownership of a land plot to a local resident. On December 24, Budagov was arrested until February 18, 2026.

The alleged buyer of a land plot implicated in the criminal case against Krymsk Mayor Yanis Budagov has been arrested in the Krasnodar Krai, Kommersant reported on December 24.

The Oktyabrsky District Court of Krasnodar has remanded Alexander Lukyanov, accused of fraud (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Russian Criminal Code), in custody pending investigation. The regional court extended his pretrial detention until January 6, 2026.

In parallel, the prosecutor's office is demanding the return of the land to municipal ownership. The defendants are Lukyanov, businessman Alexander Melishev, and LLC "SSK Krymsk." The arbitration court imposed interim measures, prohibiting registration actions and construction work.
