Novorossiysk residents complained about water supply not being delivered according to schedule
Residents of Novorossiysk complained in an appeal to Putin that water only flows to homes and apartments for six hours a day.
Participants in the video message reported that more than 250,000 people are forced to adapt to a daily water supply schedule—three hours in the morning and evening. Residents of Novorossiysk are forced to stock up on water.
A video message from city residents was published today by the Telegram channel "Nasha Gazeta Novorossiysk," which has over 10,000 subscribers. As of 10:34:34 PM Moscow time, the video had garnered 1,099 views.
Residents believe that over 500 kilometers of water supply networks require replacement and repair, with 70% of water losses during transportation. "To reduce these losses, water supply is shut off for 18 hours a day. The city has introduced a schedule of three hours in the morning and three hours in the evening. Despite this catastrophic water supply situation, authorities continue their reckless, aggressive construction of high-rise buildings," residents said.
"The city and regional authorities are unable to solve the problem of colossal water losses. We are asking for help; without federal intervention, Novorossiysk faces a social and environmental catastrophe," local residents concluded.
People are also outraged by the fact that the new general plan calls for the construction of two new microdistricts, one of which, for 21,000 people, will be located on particularly valuable agricultural land where grapes have been grown for decades.
The " Caucasian Knot " also reported that security forces perceived a threat in a petition regarding the illegal demolition of houses in Kuban. Police in the Krasnodar Krai sent a warning against "extremist" manifestations and actions to a resident of the Anapa district, whom law enforcement officials believe to be the organizer of a collective petition to Putin.
