A Dagestani soldier was killed in the SVO zone.

Gamza Akhmedov from the Kulinsky District was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, authorities have publicly named at least 1,662 combatants from Dagestan killed.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by November 7, authorities and security forces had named at least 1,661 fighters from Dagestan killed in the combat zone in Ukraine.

The Kulinsky District administration reported today on the presentation of a posthumous award to the parents of SVO participant Gamza Akhmedov on its Telegram channel.

During the meeting, Deputy Head of the Kulinsky District, Anatoly Davdiev, presented his son's state award to his parents – the Suvorov Medal, which the serviceman was awarded posthumously, the administration said in a statement.

Thus, at least 1,662 servicemen from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation. The "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation. The list is based on data officially released by government officials and security agencies, according to the "Caucasian Knot" report "Northeastern Military District Statistics: Casualties Mounting in Southern Russia".
