Residents of a village in Ingushetia complained about the lack of public utilities.

Residents of Ozdoev Street in the village of Plievo in the Nazran District are without access to utilities, and authorities are ignoring their requests for assistance. The Investigative Committee of Ingushetia has launched a preliminary investigation.

Local residents note that more than 20 children live on the street, forced to face serious daily household problems, which are exacerbated by the approaching winter. They emphasize that they have repeatedly submitted requests and even organized collective appeals, but this has resulted only in formal refusals and a lack of real action from the administration and relevant agencies.

A video and complaint about utility problems in the village of Plievo were published on November 3 by the Telegram channel "Fortanga," which has over 12,000 subscribers. By 6:30 PM, the video had garnered 2,080 views.

"This is truly a cry from the heart, because we no longer know where or who to turn to. There is no electricity, gas, water, or lighting on Ozdoyev Street, and winter is just around the corner. Residents previously contacted the village administration and wrote a collective appeal, but no action has been taken. They were simply told that local authorities have no authority," the source said.

According to him, residents complained to the Ingush Ministry of Energy, Gazprom, the water utility, and several other organizations, but received only formal replies from all.

"Nobody wants to take responsibility for the residents. They ask for money to provide housing and communal services and refuse to write refusals," he added.

On November 4, the Investigative Committee of Ingushetia launched a pre-investigation check for a crime under Part 1 of Article 293 of the Russian Criminal Code (negligence), 1 , the agency reported today on its Telegram channel.

"Despite numerous citizen appeals, the rural settlement administration failed to take legally required measures to provide adequate public utilities," the report stated.

Earlier, "Kavkazsky Uzel" reported that residents of Plievo paved Sholokhov Street at their own expense due to authority inaction. Villagers reported that local and district government officials ignored all complaints.
