The number of fighters from southern Russia killed in Ukraine has exceeded 7,350

At least 3,658 fighters from the North Caucasus Federal District and 3,698 from the Southern Federal District have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

As "Caucasian Knot" wrote, by August 30, at least 7,307 fighters from the regions of southern Russia were officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine. Of these, 3,675 were residents of the Southern Federal District, 3,632 - from the North Caucasus Federal District.

Statistics of the SVO: losses are growing for the south of Russia

Since the beginning of the SVO, the authorities and security forces have reported the deaths of residents of the regions and areas of southern Russia, as well as the republics of the North Caucasus. “Caucasian Knot” maintains general statistics of losses in the regions of the Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts, based on official data.

According to “Caucasian Knot”, by September 7, representatives of the authorities and security agencies officially recognized at least 7,356 fighters from the south of Russia as killed in the military operation: 3,658 from the North Caucasian Federal District and 3,698 from the Southern Federal District.

The largest number of those killed still falls on Dagestan – 1,541. The death of 808 fighters from Stavropol Krai, 482 from North Ossetia, and 285 from Kabardino-Balkaria has also been confirmed. 1, 245 – from Chechnya 2, 152 from Karachay-Cherkessia and 145 from Ingushetia.

Among the regions of the Southern Federal District, the largest number of killed (1,324) was in the Volgograd Region. Also, 778 fighters from Krasnodar Krai, 707 from Rostov Oblast, 607 from Astrakhan Oblast, 173 from Kalmykia and 109 from Adygea were recognized as killed.

North Caucasian security forces have already died in the SVO in 2 years, four times more than in the conflict in the North Caucasus over the past 12 years
