Emergency regime declared in Novorossiysk after drone attack

Authorities of the city of Novorossiysk have declared the state of emergency after a drone attack. According to updated information, five people were injured as a result of the attack.

The state of emergency was introduced in Novorossiysk, Andrei Kravchenko, the city Mayor, has reported in his Telegram channel.

"Apartment buildings in the Aurora residential complex and in Suvorovskaya Street were damaged. There is damage in the private sector of the Eastern District. If necessary, we’ll deploy temporary accommodation centres," he has written.

According to updated information, five people received wounds "of varying severity", including two children, the Mayor has added, noting that he met with residents of the house in Suvorovskaya Street.

At the third address, three apartments were damaged in an apartment building. The operative headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory has reported on its Telegram channel about the damage caused to houses at three addresses in Novorossiysk. "At the first address, four people suffered in an apartment building – two children, a man and a woman. They were hospitalized. At the second address, drone debris knocked out windows in a two-storey building and damaged a car. A man was injured and received medical care on the spot. At the third address, three apartments were damaged in an apartment building – one residential and two non-residential ones. There are no victims," says the post.

A source from the emergency services has reported damage to eight apartments in two multi-storey buildings. "An apartment building: as a result of a drone crash, an apartment was damaged. [Another] apartment building: as a result of a drone crash, an apartment caught fire. Seven apartments were damaged," the RIA “Novosti” has quoted the source as saying.
