Persons of attackers on the mosque in Dagestan remain unidentified

On March 30 an armed attack was made on the mosque "Yuzhnaya" (Southern) located in the outskirts of the capital of Dagestan, as a result of which several mosque visitors became victims. In the words of Ramil Kurbanov, one of the mosque parishioners, the culprits were dressed in camouflage and wore masks. He did not exclude that power agents could commit the attack. Mr. Kurbanov also added that later the believers were taken out into the mountains, where their napes were shaved; then, they were put down from the bus one by one.

During a personal conversation, Kurbanov, Oleg Eremin and other victims demonstrated to the correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot" for Dagestan their bare napes and bruises from kicks by machinegun clubs. They also stated that there mobile phones and money had been confiscated.

A spokesman of the Ministry of Interior, when asked to give comments, stated that he was out of the picture.

On the following day, many information agencies received the same "no comment" answer, and some media quoted the imam of the mosque that there was incident whatsoever.

On March 31, the correspondent visited the mosque, talked with the people involved and cleared out that nobody denied the fact of the attack, however, Paizuddin Dalgatov, deputy imam of the mosque, reported that according to the information that had reached him (he himself was during the accident was in the back regions of the mosque), before entering the cult building, the attackers had put plastic bags over their dirty boots.

Nobody could explain what the reason of the attack had been, and the persons of the criminals remain unknown so far.
