Bomb kills one in Chechnya

A local resident died as a result of the detonation of an unidentified explosive device in Chechnya, a source with republican law enforcement agencies told Caucasian Knot.

The incident occurred in the Achkhoi-Martan district (the southwest of Chechnya). "Alkhazur Tursoyev, a forester, was killed by an unidentified explosive device in the Achkhoi-Martan district," an Internal Affairs Ministry officer said. "He was examining a forest section not far from Samashki, according to the information available. Tursoyev sustained multiple shrapnel wounds and died on the way to hospital."
