Chechens from Leninaul report to Ramzan Kadyrov about village conflict

At a meeting with Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, Chechens-Akkins have mentioned the conflicts involving members of the local Chechen community in the Kazbek District of Dagestan. Thanks to the intervention of the authorities and law enforcement agencies, it became possible to resolve the conflict near the village of Leninkent, where on July 7, hundreds of residents of Chechnya and Ingushetia moved to support Chechens-Akkins. This was reported by participants of the events.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 7, law enforcers restricted entry to the village of Leninaul because of the news about a gathering of the Chechen community. Magomed Daudov, Speaker of the Chechen Parliament arrived to the border. People from the crowd started throwing stones to him, and in response, fire was opened into the air. The development of the conflict was prevented after the arrival of Saighitpasha Umakhanov, Dagestani Minister of Energy. On July 8, Dagestani leader Ramazan Abdulatipov promised to restore the Aukh District, but not to include the villages of Leninaul and Kalininaul into it.

The events of July 7 were preceded by a mass fight of June 25 in Leninaul, in which 12 people were injured.

Residents of the Kazbek District have reported to Ramzan Kadyrov about the reasons for the misunderstanding between Avars and Chechens and called the events in Leninaul a domestic conflict, reports the ChGTRK (Chechen State Television and Radio Company) "Grozny".

"The authorities and the media lie that it was a domestic conflict. Young guys were deliberately beaten up there, and the police supported one side, they started to 'pressure' Akkins," said Isa, a participant of the events.
