After Magomed Daudov's visit, Dagestani leader comes to Chechen border

After the conflict in the border Kazbek District involving members of the local Chechen community, in which Magomed Daudov, Speaker of the Chechen Parliament intervened, Dagestani leader Ramazan Abdulatipov arrived at the place. He promised to restore the Aukh District and refuse to include the villages of Leninaul and Kalininaul into it, local residents report.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 25, a massive fight occurred in the village of Leninaul in the Kazbek District. As a result, 12 people were injured, reported Syrah Saipov, the former head of the village. On July 7, a new aggravation of the conflict occurred.

According to residents of the village of Leninaul, incidents because of land occur in the village quite often, and the mood of Chechens is influenced by activists who demand to restore the Aukh District.

According to a local resident, Ramazan Abdulatipov "urged people to calm down."

Another local resident has added that at present, everything is quiet in the Kazbek District.

The main issue for the Dagestani leader's visit was to discuss the socio-economic situation of the two municipalities. However, "against the backdrop of recent events, the situation in the village of Leninaul is expected to be also discussed," reports the RIA "Dagestan".
