Chechens stage protest action in Pankissi Gorge

Tens of local Chechens-Kistins are going without food in the Pankissi Gorge area, reported The Former Political Prisoners for Human Rights NGO. They demand that their rights be protected.

The Kistins staged a meeting in the Pankissi Gorge on May 10.

Rights of the Chechens-Kistins are violated as there have been ungrounded arrests and searches, Nana Kakabadze, chairwoman of The Former Political Prisoners for Human Rights, said.
