Former Kuban Vice-Governor Andrei Korobka, arrested on suspicion of large-scale fraud, will remain in custody until August 22.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot," on April 7, a court in Krasnodar arrested Deputy Governor of Kuban Andrei Korobka for two months, accused of fraud. During a search of his home, security forces seized almost 1 billion rubles in cash in various currencies, and the total value of the official's assets is estimated at 10 billion. The property of Korobka, his relatives, and associates was confiscated.

The Krasnodar Regional Court refused to soften the preventive measure for Andrei Korobka, who was arrested on suspicion of large-scale fraud, Kommersant wrote on June 15, citing data from the combined press service of the courts of the Krasnodar Territory.

Korobka will remain in pre-trial detention until August 22.

As a reminder, according to the prosecution, in November 2025, Korobka proposed to the developer of a land plot in the Dinsky District to change the type of permitted use of the territory - to remove the plot from the industrial zone and transfer it to the mid-rise development zone, so that in to build multi-apartment residential buildings there in the future. The developer agreed and in January transferred 15 million rubles to the account of the Pervorechensky Sports Club, an organization controlled by Korobka.
